  • What I Do

    What Are We Doing Here?

Welcome to Arcadia's Archive— I'm your host. Arcadia Nikolaeva.

I am a freelance journalist, photographer, and unapologetic dreamer. Writing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and my passion has always been to tell stories on my own terms, whether that is through my camera or my keyboard.

With a degree in journalism and experience interning in news media, I’ve honed my skills in storytelling. But the real magic happens when I take the reins myself.

This website is a reflection of me—a home for my thoughts, creative concepts, and the things I write or photograph. Here, you’ll find explorations of pop culture, from music and movies to books and TV. Whatever brought you here, I hope you find something that resonates.

    I always open my heart.

If you don’t open your heart, you cannot absorb anything and it’s not interesting.

The driving force for growth is to have an open heart.

    Yuzuru Hanyu

    Either write something worth reading

    or do something worth writing.

    Benjamin Franklin

Learn as if you will live forever,

live like you will die tomorrow.

    Mahatma Gandhi

It is better to fail in originality

    than to succeed in imitation.

    Herman Melville
